Editorial policy
Rural Home Journal aims to publish clear, careful writing about rural homes. We distinguish general explanation from personal preference, and we do not present home articles as a substitute for qualified advice on safety-critical work.
Accuracy and clarity
We check names, descriptions and factual claims against suitable information before publication, and write in a way that makes uncertainty clear. Where an article concerns a choice that depends on a home's condition or circumstances, we explain those limits rather than implying one answer fits every reader.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made separately from partnership arrangements. Paid or otherwise supported material, and partner placements, are clearly labelled so readers can tell when a commercial relationship is involved. A partnership does not guarantee a favourable editorial assessment.
Corrections
If a reader spots a factual error or unclear passage, they can contact us through the Contact page. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making significant corrections clear to readers.
Images and illustrations
Images are chosen to support the subject and are not presented as proof that a particular approach will work in every home. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; those illustrations are identified as such.
